Check out Orla's and Sarah's messages on Seesaw!
Hi everyone! We hope you had a fantastic weekend and are all set for some more Home Learning this week!
Seesaw
We are delighted that Seesaw seems to be working so well for our families and we continue to plan more work on that site. Any worksheets which are on the daily plans will also be accessible on Seesaw and can be filled in digitally.
Language Fortnight:
For these two weeks, we are celebrating our first ever virtual Language fortnight. There will be activities which you can participate in throughout the week and can be found here.
Learning for this week
Here is our learning for this week:
English: Grammar / Dictation / Free writing
Maths: 3D Shapes
Gaeilge: Caitheamh Aimsire
SESE (History): Life in Medieval times
Below you will find a suggested daily schedule on an easy-print document for each day. Each document also includes the relevant resources for that day. You will need to check back here for the website links, Powerpoint slides and teaching videos but everything else is included on the document. Just do your very best and be sure to send us one piece of work this week!
Daily tasks
Some activities are to be done every day, just like we did for our Home Learning throughout the year. We have listed them here and on each plan:
Spellings: Learn 4 spellings each day
Reading: Read for at least 20 minutes.
Tables: Practise your multiplication tables (focus on ÷1 and ÷2 this week)
Gaeilge: Practise 5 questions of your choice and answer orally.
Whole-school event: Go to the Language page for today’s activity.
Good luck for this week!
We hope the work for this week goes well. Remember that the work assigned is only a suggestion. We understand that this is an extraordinary and challenging time - just do whatever is manageable for your family. If you would like to try some extra activities, remember to check out the Bonus Activities page on our website.
*And finally - don't forget to send at least one piece of work (or even just a little message!) to your teacher each week - we are always so happy to hear from you!
